Beyond Boiling Point

Ever had anger that results in behaviour that you later regret or recall in embarrassment? Does it disrupt your ability to think clearly and make good decisions? Parents constantly find themselves at their wits’ end when they see their children/teens repeating negative behaviours despite reprimands.  The situation gets worse when children/teens blow up when parents are trying to guide them.  They appear totally unreasonable and that is likely when parents themselves will ‘hit the roof’.

Key areas covered:

  • Parents will
    • understand the dynamics of conflict between parents and their children
    • realise the goals parents and children were trying to achieve when the outbursts occurred
    • learn the impact of these blow-ups and how they can manage them effectively with minimum damage to the parent-child relationship
