Senior Facilitator, CareNights

Full time, 1pm to 10pm Work Hours

 

CareNights (http://www.straitstimes.com/singapore/caregiving-help-at-hand-for-parents-busy-at-night) provides night care to primary-level children to support families who are attending night courses, doing overtime/night shift or attending to emergencies. Currently operating in Bedok North Avenue 4, and  Sengkang.

 

Responsibilities

  • Inculcate virtues through organized activities so as to empower the disadvantaged children
  • Plan, design and implement interactive programme with team/vendors
  • Coach and train staff so that the level of service standard is met
  • Assist to organize and implement events for the children and their families
  • Ensure the well-being and development of the children in our care
  • Develop and established good relationships with caregivers and volunteers and provide feedback to team
  • Handle incidents at the centers and report in a professional manner
  • Manage the centres so that the programme run efficiently and effectively in a safe environment
  • Update, collate data and prepare reports in a timely manner
  • Register intake and withdrawal of enrollment
  • Orientation of caregivers and children
  • Induce new volunteers
  • Perform other duties as and when assigned by the Programme Manager
  • Provide oversight to CareNights volunteers
  • Oversee and supervise children enrolled in the CareNights programme on weekday evenings from 6pm to 10pm.
    • Assist in the development, coordination and implementation of learning activities and programmes
    • Adapt and deliver Morning Star’s values curriculum
    • Coach children using positive discipline methods

 

Requirements:

  • Have at least 3 years of relevant working experience in facilitation and managing care centre
  • Able to relate to people, face-to-face
  • Organised and meticulous
  • Have a ‘Can-do’ attitude
  • Possess a recognized diploma and above
  • Able to work from 1.00pm to 10.00pm on weekdays and occasional Saturdays

Facilitator, CareNights

Part Time

 

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and supervise children enrolled in the CareNights programme on weekday evenings from 5pm to 10pm
    • Assist in the coordination, and implementation of learning activities and programmes
    • Deliver Morning Star’s values curriculum
    • Coach and mentor children using positive discipline methods*Basic housekeeping duties
  • Manage Volunteers
  • Basic housekeeping duties

*Training will be provided

 

Requirements:

  • At least  ‘A’ Level / Diploma holder
  • Childcare/student care experience an advantage
  • Possess a sense of responsibility towards the care of our clients and the organisation
  • Able to engage children from disadvantaged family background
  • Good written and oral communication skills

Programme Executive

Full-Time, Part-Time

Support the Manager, Programmes in the planning and implementation of activities in the following areas:

 

Programme Management:

  • Assist to create and raise awareness of the programmes and develop good relationships with community and agencies
  • Plan, organize events to promote and enhance the programmes
  • Follow up and liaise with clients so as to achieve desired results
  • Support a team of operational colleagues
  • Liaise with colleagues and social agencies for relevant information
  • Update database
  • Monitor outcomes and generate reports

 

Volunteer Management:

  • Recruit volunteers via online and offline platforms
  • Select and Induct volunteers so that they are ready to serve
  • Engage volunteers to ensure continuity of service
  • Update and monitor the development of volunteers
  • Facilitate activities as and when required
  • Assist to manage data and prepare reports

Any other duties as assigned by the Programme Manager.

 

Requirements:

  • Possess a recognised university degree
  • Good writing and communication skills
  • At least one year of relevant working experience
  • Organised and meticulous

Facilitator, Student Care Services

Full-Time, Part-Time

 

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and supervise primary school children enrolled at student care centre
  • Assist in the coordination, development and implementation of learning activities and enrichment programmes
  • Impart good habits and social skills amongst the children
  • Coach children using positive discipline methods
  • Willing and able to be deployed to different centres to provide coverage of duties

 

Requirements:

  • At least GCE ‘O’ Level / ‘A’ Level / Diploma
  • Preferably with some Childcare / Student Care / Montessori / Phonetics experience in Singapore.
  • Personable with good communication skills and able to build rapport with children.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.

Facilitator (Casual Role)

Shifts:

  1. 2pm to 7pm
  2. 5pm to 10pm

 

Responsibilites:

  • The role will be a casual position, 5 days a week from 2pm to 7pm or 5pm to 10pm
  • Oversee and supervise primary school children enrolled at the centre
  • Assist in the coordination, development and implementation of learning activities and enrichment programmes.
  • Impart good habits and social skills amongst the children.
  • Supervise primary school children enrolled at the centres
  • Coach children using positive discipline methods.

Note for evening role (Shift 2), hired casuals are expected to manage volunteers.

 

Requirements:

  • At least GCE ‘O’ Level / ‘A’ Level.
  • At least Diploma in one of the following specializations; education, teaching, curriculum development, psychology, with 1 year of working experience.
  • Personable with good communication skills and able to build rapport with children.
  • Good organizational, problem-solving and planning skills; able to multi-task.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.

Case Worker (Social Work)

Full Time

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide case management and clinical services to children and families
  • Supervise and provide guidance to junior practitioners
  • Provide expert advice and consultation on complex cases as necessary
  • Manage the development and implementation of case management services and standards
  • Establish and standardise clinical practice
  • Develop social work competencies within the Organisation
  • Handle casework and review SOP and policy

 

Requirements:

  • Degree or Graduate Diploma in Social Work
  • A minimum of 6 years’ relevant experience in the social service sector
  • Accredited as a Registered Social worker with SASW
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Strong interpersonal and analytical skills
  • Resilience, passion to serve the community
  • Experience in the management and supervision of practitioners/staff

Executive, Training Coordinator

Full Time

 

Responsibilities:

  • Organise, plan, coordinate logistics for training and workshops
  • Customer Care: attend to clients’ request; manage and develop relationship with existing clients
  • Updating of client database
  • Prepare marketing collaterals and training materials needed by trainers
  • Execute promotional activities in order to secure new clients for training and workshops

 

Requirements:

  • Diploma and above, preferably with sales and marketing experience
  • Creative and resourceful
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Proficient with MS software

Facilitator, After-School Care Services

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for implementing learning activities and supervise primary-school students during their off-school hours.
  • Enjoy working with children and will be expected to use positive discipline methods and guide them in forming good habits and social skills.
  • Experience in the same industry preferred.
