Workshop Planner

Full Time (Monday – Friday, and 1/2 day Saturday)

 

Responsibilities:

  • Organise, plan, coordinate logistics for training and workshops
  • Customer Care: attend to clients’ request; manage and develop relationship with existing clients
  • Attend meetings with partners in order to understand and execute training requirements
  • Updating of client database
  • Prepare marketing collaterals and training materials needed by trainers
  • Execute promotional activities in order to secure new clients for training and workshops

 

Requirements:

  • Diploma and above, preferably with Customer Service and Workshop planning experience.
  • Creative and resourceful
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Proficient with MS software

Estate and Purchasing Executive

Full Time

 

Responsibilities:

  • Operations
    • Manage general facilities maintenance, including setting up, moving, disposing and repairing of furniture and fittings.
    • Execute, monitor and track that all procurement processes of all consumables/perishables, furniture and fittings, security systems, logistics services and facilities maintenance services are adhered to, ensuring our services operational needs are met and that MSCS pays on time with value for money.
    • Monitor, review and track all contracts under facilities management purview, including routine maintenance task, schedule, performance measure and analysis, inventory & asset tracking.
    • Conduct regular checks on to ensure its premise complies with Fire Safety Bureau guidelines.
    • To carry out daily check to ensure CCTV is running, otherwise to troubleshoot.
  • Project Management
    • Assist in the planning and implementation of office systems, layout, safety, security and equipment procurement; including liaising and coordinating with contractors/vendors in office renovation/relocation/cyclical maintenance.
    • Monitor and supervise the completion of projects.
    • Manage and communicate project activities among vendors and stakeholders of the projects
  • Administration
    • Assist to track and update the inventory of assets (fixed and capital expenditures) located within all MSCS sites.  Assist supervisor in conducting inventory check on its inventory as and when required.
    • Supervise the overall administrative and maintenance jobs of the vendors and ensure timely delivery of service to its internal and external stakeholders.
    • Source and negotiate for good rates from vendors and to ensure timely processing of vendor invoices.
    • Source and maintain beneficial relationships between the MSCS and vendors, maintain and update the vendor list, ensuring that vendors on the list are reliable.
    • Maintain purchasing documents, files and records to ensure their availability and  compliance with established policies and guidelines
    • Prepare monthly procurement reports reflecting the status of procurement activities
    • Keeping records of mails and postage records

 

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Degree Holder in a related field. At least 3 -5 years of relevant working experience
  • ‘A’ Level or Nitec/Higher Nitec with at least 5 years of relevant working experience
  • Good knowledge of MS Office, Purchasing, Building Management, Property
  • Good organisational and administration skills

Executive, Communications and Development

Full Time

 

Responsibilities:

  • Marketing Communications:
    • Assist in planning, developing and implementing marketing communication efforts, marketing initiatives and programmes; targeted communications based on the audience.
    • Assist in content development – the design and development of newsletters, mobile and PC friendly EDMs, marketing collaterals, blog articles, videos, and content for social media channels
    • Assist with Google Adwords, Facebook, Instagram, Linkedin campaigns etc
    • Utilise insights and outputs from our research and analyses to assist in developing new campaign angles and customer targeting strategies for new customer acquisition
    • Assist in developing and maintaining the company’s corporate image and identity, which includes the use of logos and signage.
    • Assist in planning and organizing programmes and events which may include community outreach and fundraising projects
    • Assist in preparing information for media kits
    • Maintain the company’s digital presence with timely communication with the public

 

  • Partnership Development (Volunteers):
    • Assist the manager in the management of volunteers’ recruitment be the main organizer of recruitment events and functions
    • Be the first line of contact for volunteers who are interested in the work of Morning Star
    • Provide first line onboarding for volunteers, and arrange for volunteer training sessions

 

Requirements:

  • Possess a recognized diploma or university degree in Mass Communication or other related field of study
  • Possess up-to-date knowledge and experience of digital marketing including website management, online advertising and email marketing.
  • Working knowledge of Facebook Ad Manager, Google Display Network, or other Paid Digital Marketing channels will be a plus.
  • Good writing and communication skills
  • At least 1-3 years of relevant working experience
  • Organised and meticulous, with a strong sense of aesthetics and an eye for details

Facilitator, CareNights

Part Time

 

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and supervise children enrolled in the CareNights programme on weekday evenings from 5pm to 10pm
    • Assist in the coordination, and implementation of learning activities and programmes
    • Deliver Morning Star’s values curriculum
    • Coach and mentor children using positive discipline methods*Basic housekeeping duties
  • Manage Volunteers
  • Basic housekeeping duties

*Training will be provided

 

Requirements:

  • At least  ‘A’ Level / Diploma holder
  • Childcare/student care experience an advantage
  • Possess a sense of responsibility towards the care of our clients and the organisation
  • Able to engage children from disadvantaged family background
  • Good written and oral communication skills

Facilitator, Student Care Services

Full-Time, Part-Time

 

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and supervise primary school children enrolled at student care centre
  • Assist in the coordination, development and implementation of learning activities and enrichment programmes
  • Impart good habits and social skills amongst the children
  • Coach children using positive discipline methods
  • Willing and able to be deployed to different centres to provide coverage of duties

 

Requirements:

  • At least GCE ‘O’ Level / ‘A’ Level / Diploma
  • Preferably with some Childcare / Student Care / Montessori / Phonetics experience in Singapore.
  • Personable with good communication skills and able to build rapport with children.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.

Facilitator (Casual Role)

Shifts:

  1. 2pm to 7pm
  2. 5pm to 10pm

 

Responsibilities:

  • The role will be a casual position, 5 days a week from 2pm to 7pm or 5pm to 10pm
  • Oversee and supervise primary school children enrolled at the centre
  • Assist in the coordination, development and implementation of learning activities and enrichment programmes.
  • Impart good habits and social skills amongst the children.
  • Supervise primary school children enrolled at the centres
  • Coach children using positive discipline methods.

Note for evening role (Shift 2), hired casuals are expected to manage volunteers.

 

Requirements:

  • At least GCE ‘O’ Level / ‘A’ Level.
  • At least Diploma in one of the following specializations; education, teaching, curriculum development, psychology, with 1 year of working experience.
  • Personable with good communication skills and able to build rapport with children.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide case management and clinical services to children and families
  • Supervise and provide guidance to junior practitioners
  • Provide expert advice and consultation on complex cases as necessary
  • Manage the development and implementation of case management services and standards
  • Establish and standardise clinical practice
  • Develop social work competencies within the Organisation
  • Handle casework and review SOP and policy

 

Requirements:

  • Degree or Graduate Diploma in Social Work
  • A minimum of 6 years’ relevant experience in the social service sector
  • Accredited as a Registered Social worker with SASW
  • Strong written and verbal skills
