Training Officer

Full Time

 

Job Summary: 

The Training Officer supports the Training Manager in managing the planning and delivery of Triple P workshops.  He/she is responsible for engaging stakeholders for matters pertaining to Triple P and Signposts.

The incumbent is expected to work from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays and on Saturdays where necessary to support courses. He/she is largely expected to work in an indoor environment, although he/she is required to travel to and from various training venues, or out of organisation’s premises to attend other meetings or workshops.

 

Responsibilities:

Training Support

  • Liaise with existing and new customers on the programmes
  • Manage the scheduling of various workshops and programmes
  • Scheduling workshop appointments between customers and trainers
  • Confirm number and profile of trainers required for workshops
  • Prepare workshop materials and other resources for scheduled workshops and training
  • Set up workshop area and ensure that the physical environment is conducive for learning
  • Compile evaluation summaries of workshops for reporting purposes

Programme Marketing

  • Promote programmes and workshops to both existing, new, and potential customers through the use of various media channels
  • Respond to programme queries via email/phone

Other Administrative Duties

  • Liaise with MSF officers, trainers, and other staff to meet the requirements of the programmes
  • Document logistic requirements for each programme
  • Collect fees, receipts, and compile accounts for each workshop

 

Requirements:

  • Candidate must possess at least Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in Business Studies/Administration/Management, Marketing, Secretarial or equivalent
  • At least 1 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position
  • Required Skill(s): Interpersonal Skills, Stakeholder Management, Detail-oriented, Resourceful, Service-oriented
  • Preferably Non-Executive specialized in Education or equivalent

Executive/ Senior Executive, Communications and Partnership

Full Time

 

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and cultivate potential new partnerships that will advance the organisation’s mission and to meet individual fundraising target contributing to the overall target of Morning Star
  • Build and engage close working relationships with various corporate stakeholders and sponsors
  • Develop, motivate and enhance relationships with sponsors, donors and volunteers
  • Develop, drive and implement fundraising initiatives through all marketing channel
  • Oversee the development of the organisation’s fundraising materials and collateral
  • Coordinate all development related mailings, including direct mails and donor updates to help reinforce the mission of the organisation
  • Manage donor records and update information on central database
  • Ad hoc duties as assigned by the Manager

 

Requirements:

  • Minimally a Diploma preferably in Mass Communications, Marketing or equivalent
  • At least 5 years of experience in similar roles, sales, customer relations
  • Experience in the social service sector preferable
  • Excellent oral and written command of English Language is essential
  • Possession of traits: excellent project management and implementation skills, analytical, energetic
  • Resourceful and have working knowledge of social media tools
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills

Facilitator, CareNights

Part Time

 

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and supervise children enrolled in the CareNights programme on weekday evenings from 5pm to 10pm
    • Assist in the coordination, and implementation of learning activities and programmes
    • Deliver Morning Star’s values curriculum
    • Coach and mentor children using positive discipline methods*
    • Basic housekeeping duties
  • Manage Volunteers
  • Basic housekeeping duties

*Training will be provided

 

Requirements:

  • At least  ‘A’ Level / Diploma holder
  • Childcare/student care experience an advantage
  • Possess a sense of responsibility towards the care of our clients and the organisation
  • Able to engage children from disadvantaged family background
  • Good written and oral communication skills

Facilitator, Student Care Services

Full-Time, Part-Time

 

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and supervise primary school children enrolled at student care centre
  • Assist in the coordination, development and implementation of learning activities and enrichment programmes
  • Impart good habits and social skills amongst the children
  • Coach children using positive discipline methods
  • Willing and able to be deployed to different centres to provide coverage of duties

 

Requirements:

  • At least GCE ‘O’ Level / ‘A’ Level / Diploma
  • Preferably with some Childcare / Student Care / Montessori / Phonetics experience in Singapore
  • Personable with good communication skills and able to build rapport with children
  • Good written and oral communication skills

 


 

 

Facilitator (Casual Role)

Shifts:

  1. 2pm to 7pm
  2. 5pm to 10pm

 

Responsibilities:

  • The role will be a casual position, 5 days a week from 2pm to 7pm or 5pm to 10pm
  • Oversee and supervise primary school children enrolled at the centre
  • Assist in the coordination, development and implementation of learning activities and enrichment programmes
  • Impart good habits and social skills amongst the children
  • Supervise primary school children enrolled at the centres
  • Coach children using positive discipline methods

Note for evening role (Shift 2), hired casuals are expected to manage volunteers.

 

Requirements:

  • At least GCE ‘O’ Level / ‘A’ Level
  • At least Diploma in one of the following specializations; education, teaching, curriculum development, psychology, with 1 year of working experience
  • Personable with good communication skills and able to build rapport with children
  • Good organizational, problem-solving and planning skills; able to multi-task
  • Good written and oral communication skills
