Self-control helps you focus on your goal and stay on the main road to your goal

Many parents worry about their children. Parents see children doing their homework while texting their friends and listening to their iPods and wonder if they can really concentrate in their studies this way. Focus and self-control are central to the other life skills like critical thinking and communication. If we want our children to achieve their life goals, they have to learn to have self-control.

Key areas covered:

Participants will be able to

  • manage and contain out-of-control behaviours
  • teach children what to do to remain calm
  • implement the Safe Classroom/Home Rule
  • conduct follow-up teaching to coach children what they can do differently the next time and ways they can express frustrations and anger
