Raising Confident and Resilient Children (October)
(“The moment you doubt whether you can fly, you cease for ever to be able to do it.”)
Are your children less confident than you would like them to be? Are you keen to learn how to hit the sweet spot of providing appropriate support and protection on the one hand and adequate independence to foster confidence and competence on the other?
‘Being confident’ can be defined as being sure about one’s ability. A confident child is not easily discouraged by his/her failures and challenges in life. Come and learn how you can develop this confidence in your children.
Key Areas Covered:
Parents will learn
- To recognise signs of worry in their children and how to manage worries
- How to help their children grow in confidence and competence
- How to make use of success experiences to grow more success
- How to teach their children to be resilient and ‘bounce back’ from their failures
