Parents Just Don’t Get It!

Finding the right ways to connect with your teens

Do you find your teens rolling their eyes when you tried talking with them? Are you getting through to your teens? Do you envy parents who have a close relationship with their teens? As our children grow into teenagers, many parents sigh at the loss of close connection with them. The teens’ lives begin to be filled with friends and school activities, leaving little time for the family. They too can become temperamental and many parents struggle to connect with them. Yet deep inside these teens, they long for acceptance, approval, affirmation and love from their parents. The good news is: We can all learn and find ways to connect with our teens that are meaningful for them and for us!
