Strategies to help parents raise self-confidence in their children to improve their learning
Growing self-confidence is the best gift a parent can give to a child. With self-confidence, a child will be able to achieve in life and to ‘bounce back’ from whatever setbacks he will encounter throughout his life. It is a life skill which will help your child to survive and thrive on his own.
Key areas covered
Children will learn to:
- Identify their own strengths
- Use positive self-talk and banish negative self-talk
- How to make use of success to grow more successes
- How to use mistakes and failures to gain success
Parents will learn to:
- Identify the strengths of their child
- Regulate their emotions and their child’s
- Recognize worries in their child and how to manage them
- Use their strengths to motivate their child in their learning
- Use failure management skills to help child cope with failures
