I AM CONFIDENT AND COMPETENT

Synopsis:
Are your children less confident than you would like them to be? Are you keen to learn how to hit the sweet spot of providing appropriate support and protection on the one hand and adequate independence to foster confidence and competence on the other?

 

‘Being confident’ can be defined as being sure about one’s ability. A confident child is not easily discouraged by his/her failures and challenges in life. Come and learn how you can develop this confidence in your children.

 

Course Objectives:
Participants will be able to
• inculcate values, build skills and behaviours to encourage
• use core skills (Building Blocks) to help children to develop confidence, reach their potential and get on well with others
• help children develop self-esteem
• teach children to problem solve
• encourage children to take responsibility and do things for themselves

 

Key areas covered:
• Building Block 1: Showing respect to others
• Building Block 2: Being considerate
• Building Block 3: Having good communication and social skills
• Building Block 4: Having healthy self-esteem
• Building Block 5: Becoming a good problem solver
• Building Block 6: Becoming independent

 

Duration:
1 session of 3hr
