Our before and after school care service supports the needs of families who need care and guidance for their primary school going children during their off-school hours.
In Morning Star, children are encountered as persons and not just students. We offer an environment where children, in addition to learning to be independent and responsible for their own behaviour and education, also learn how to get along with one another.
We constantly strive to provide a holistic and balanced programme to enhance each child's intellectual abilities, emotional development, social skills, character formation and physical growth.
Our Student Care Facilitators create interesting curriculum-based Learning Stations and theme-based Learning Centre activities to facilitate our children's learning through creative and interactive ways. These activities challenge each child to discover and enjoy learning in a fun and meaningful way in addition to teaching them problem-solving and life-skills.
We believe in providing a conducive environment for all the children who are entrusted to us to be happy. This we do by looking into their physical needs and more importantly, by encountering them as individuals who we care about. We train our Facilitators to pay close attention to each child and to manage them positively.
Equally important, we believe we can guide our children best by working closely with their parents. Parents are kept posted about their children's progress and frequently invited to participate in our various family life and parent-child programmes and activities. Children benefit most when their parents are involved and participate in our programmes. It is also one of the ways we connect families and grow in community.
