Harness the Joys of Learning
In Singapore where education is so important, parents and children alike can feel pressurised to do well in school. However, having our children excel in school goes beyond just doing homework; it involves a love for learning that will see them through their academic journey and prepare them for living life well. Learning well is and will be a core competency for our children of the 21st century. Read more to find out how a couple coped with thier daughter's learning difficulties

Parents as Learning Coaches Workshop
To equip parents to help develop this competency in their children, Morning Star’s interdisciplinary team consisting of our Educational Consultant and experienced Family Life Coaches have developed the Parents as Learning Coaches Workshop piloting in May.

This 8-hour workshop will provide parents with strategies to: identify a child’s strengths, types of intelligences and learning styles to maximise learning. Using experiential activities, small group discussion, demonstrations, case studies and personal reflection, parents will also explore creating a conducive home environment for learning and working in partnership with school and community resources.
